Mutual of Omaha is seeking a dynamic Engineer to lead standardization initiatives, optimize support tools and foster a data-driven support environment across the enterprise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost device stability and influence IT leadership with strategic recommendations. Bring your deep expertise in technical support and endpoint engineering, strong scripting skills, and proven ability with telemetry tools like SysTrack or Endpoint Analytics. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:



  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):


    • Engineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Engineer III: $130,000 - $145,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:




  • Support and mentor Level 2/3 technicians by acting as a key escalation point for complex desktop support issues across the enterprise.






  • Drive strategies for proactive monitoring, endpoint health, and automation using telemetry and digital experience analytics tools.






  • Design, build, and maintain automated self-healing solutions to improve end-user experience and reduce recurring issues. Evaluate support tools, desktop engineering capabilities, and automation opportunities and present recommendations to IT leadership.






  • Lead initiatives to standardize support processes, optimize tools, and create a data-driven support environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, desktop, app support) to improve device stability and performance.






  • Create and maintain technical documentation and internal knowledge base articles.





WHAT YOU'LL BRING:




  • Five or more years of advanced technical experience in desktop support, endpoint engineering or systems role.





  • Deep understanding of Windows and macOS troubleshooting, endpoint configuration, driver/firmware management, and hardware lifecycle processes.





  • Experience using telemetry tools (such as SysTrack, Endpoint Analytics) to analyze user experience and device health trends.





  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell required; Python a plus) with the ability to design self-healing actions.






  • Excellent interpersonal skills to coach peers, support end users, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.



PREFERRED:




  • Experience mentoring others in troubleshooting practices and technical development. Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives or process improvements.






  • Background in developing or supporting proactive monitoring or digital employee experience programs.



  • Familiarity with endpoint management platforms (such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or JAMF). Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (such as Ansible).
