WELCOME DAKOTA HIGH SCHOOL! HIRING EVENT: May 30th Please read the below job descriptions and requirements to familiarize yourself with an interest GENERAL SUMMARY: Nurse Assistant: Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. The Nurse Assistant follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions. Patient Transportation: Under the close direction of the Support Services management team, transports patients, charts, equipment and items safely and efficiently throughout the hospital and or clinic areas. Patient Safety Assistant (patient sitter): The Patient Safety Assistant (PSA) will provide a safe environment for the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Tasks include patient observation, assisting with feeding, bathing, toileting, ambulating, engaging in activities that the patient enjoys i.e. reading, playing cards, etc., and companionship. The PSA will maintain a commitment to the philosophy, mission, and values of the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). The PSA working the monitor will recognize and report any changes observed to the RN per protocol. NURSE ASSISTANT: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED (for Tele-Sitting only): Ability to communicate effectively with patients using a microphone and headset. Ability to communicate with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient changes. Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff. Basic computer operation skills. Efficiency in multitasking. Ability to prioritize simultaneous situations. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
