Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions is seeking a Software Developer with an emphasis on SQL development transform client supplied data sets.

This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop SQL queries and applications to transform customer data into required output formats.
  • Process and prepare client data (based on various business rules) for use in print and email communications.
  • Perform quality checks for all jobs, including work completed by others on the team.
  • Follow established procedures for job completion and process improvement.
  • Utilize postal processing software for data preparation.
  • Interpret and apply complex standard requirement artifacts, matrices, and process maps.
  • Create and maintain process documentation for internal workflows and procedures.
  • Occasionally work extended hours on short notice.

You Must Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with MS-SQL to create queries, transform data, and develop reports/dashboards.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for developing dashboards
  • Outgoing personality with a willingness to speak up, proactively share ideas, and contribute to discussions.
  • Proficiency in application development using Microsoft Visual Studio, preferably in C# and/or VB.NET
  • Experience working with various file types, including: XML, JSON, and CSV.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven setting.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Knowledge of document composition tools (Quadient Inspire).
  • Intermediate HTML development skills.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and concepts.
  • Simple web design for internal use.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area.
