THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Corporate Vice President of EHBG, the Chief of Staff is the central focal point spanning business and technical aspects of the team responsible for the P&L of AMD's EPYC CPU business. In this "hands-on" role, you will manage daily operations and serve as a focal point for communication and interaction within the management team. The role also includes driving key strategic initiatives as determined by business needs at the time. Finally, the Chief of Staff acts as a trusted advisor to the CVP and his staff.

THE PERSON:

The successful candidate is a proactive and execution focused leader. She/he is skilled in developing and sustaining positive interpersonal relationships, with a consistent track record of influencing results in a matrixed environment. The Chief of Staff is creative and innovative in crafting solutions; is results driven, with the ability to make decisions quickly and communicate effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive EHBG working model (weekly staff and operations meetings); maintain a balanced calendar of team events; prepare presentations on behalf of CVP for internal and external purposes; ensure preparation for customer/partner engagement is robust
  • Drive business-critical EHBG meetings including the weekly End User Forum, weekly OEM Roadmap and Strategy Forum, monthly All Team Meetings (ATMs), MOF / LRP / TAM / Attainment alignment meetings, and BU weekly status updates to AET
  • Collaborate with the CVP to support team goals, including creating and managing a quarterly hiring plan and drafting/tracking business and employee engagement goals
  • In partnership with HR, develop and manage internal communications, such as Town Halls, round tables and organization announcements
  • Develop effective partnerships with business partners (Sales, HR, Finance, Legal, Procurement etc.) to achieve team goals
  • When required/appropriate, represent CVP in internal meetings as a delegate speaking for the business
  • Drive and enable a culture of innovation, teamwork and fun

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven track record of leading teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Strong action and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to make swift and effective decisions that drive desired results
  • Exceptional ability to build and nurture a strong networks of business partners
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, consistently demonstrating proficiency in conveying ideas, influencing stakeholders, and driving results
  • A keen interest in pursuing a General Manager development path
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Undergraduate degree required, Applied Science Degree, PMP and/or MBA preferred
