ABOUT THIS ROLE.

St. Michael's is hiring aFinancial Systems Analyst Journeyman to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Financial Systems Analyst Journeyman, you will act as the focal point for all accounting actions and issues between Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program offices, SOF AT&L-K, Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), HQ USSOCOM, Defense Financial Accounting Services (DFAS), and 6th Air Mobility Wing/Comptroller Squadron (6th AMW/CPTS).Our core value of Commitment is key as your ability and desire to achieve excellence will assist the client achieve their goal.

WHO YOU ARE

• Active Secret Clearance
• Working knowledge of the following systems:
  o General Accounting and Finance System (GAFS)
  o Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q)
  o Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS)
  o Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS)
  o Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS)
  o Command Resource Integration System (CRIS)
• 5 years' experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and validate obligation requests from the customer daily; this includes working with DFAS to ensure the obligation is processed in a timely manner.
• Verify the transaction posted accurately in the accounting system and research any discrepancies and coordinate with the applicable offices to resolve the issues.
• Review, research and follow-up on the DEAMS recurring Critical Task Listings, i.e., JVs/SF1081s on hold, open JVs/SF1081s, overspent conditions, legacy abnormal balances etc.
• Reconcile commitments, obligations, and expenditures in Financial Execution
• Conduct all accounting actions associated with conducting a Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q) within the Financial Management (FM) Suite to perform document reconciliation for all expired and cancelled year accounts IAW DFAS and Air Force guidance.
