THE POSITION

Lebanon County Children & Youth Services is actively seeking a Casework Supervisor to round out our staff. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, your responsibilities will involve the direct supervision and oversight of caseworkers within your assigned unit. You will be expected to ensure that all required documents are completed timely and that all services are being provided to clients, review and schedule all petitions for Court Reviews, and have all required forms completed in an accurate and timely manner. This includes overseeing the training and approval of new foster parents, foster home evaluations and re-evaluations, and ensuring foster families meet all state and federal requirements and regulations as well as home visits, transporting children as needed, visiting various facilities, and supporting any other transportation needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining reports, statistics, data, and summaries to prepare the budget.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
