Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation for Nephrology ranges from $118,000 - $212,700. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: April 17, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Apr 16, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Medicine is seeking candidates for an In-Residence faculty position in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Applicants must have a strong record of scholarly output in basic, epidemiological or translational research. In addition, applicants must demonstrate recent success in acquiring research funding. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse academic and clinical environment are additional requirements. The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research and obtain contracts and grants funding; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is essential criteria for appointment in this series Successful applicants will be responsible for conducting independent Nephrological research. Additional responsibilities include teaching and service to the department, school, university and the discipline. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A generous package of retirement benefits is included when employed by the University of California.
