Responsibilities

Our Technology Services department is looking for a seasoned Network Administrator to join our Networking team. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Administrator role supporting a complex enterprise WAN/LAN environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Network/Network Security Team & Telecommunications to evaluate and test new technologies and processes that facilitate and enhance networking capabilities.
  • Assist in the design, implementation & maintenance and review of corporate network routers and switches.
  • Provision, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and administer organization network equipment.
  • Hands on experience with layer 2 and layer 3 network devices.
  • Assist with review and mitigation of network vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain inventory of network device assets, Subnet and IP Address assignments.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams for new and existing network deployments
  • Help conduct forensic analysis on security related events per incident response guidelines.
  • Attend ongoing, corporate sponsored training of key job related software/hardware solutions.
  • Perform any other tasks or assignments as deemed necessary by the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion

Qualifications

Location: This position is on-site at our East Syracuse Data Center with a hybrid work schedule option.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of enterprise Network Administrator experience.
  • Proficiency in advanced network switch, router and wireless AP configuration and deployment.
  • Proficiency in IPv4 Network addressing, Subnetting and VLAN configuration.
  • Extra consideration will be given to those candidates with experience in Meraki and CISCO Switches, CISCO ISE, CISCO ACI, CISCO UCS, Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Flow and SDWAN Configuration.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with IT, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Project technical task management
  • Network Diagram and documentation skills

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline is strongly desired. Proven field experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
