DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Management Technician, you will focus on reviewing centrally stored files on internal drives to manage efficient storage and use of this data. Work involves independent potential audit research, utilizing all available resources and working lists of accounts, to compile substantive evidence of material under-reporting of tax. This includes assisting program managers with audit assessment generation and notifying taxpayers. Your attention to detail skills will be essential as you will be performing final audit quality reviews, recommending solutions, performing audit processing, and verifying assessments. If discrepancies are discovered between audit assessments and audit reports, you will determine the reason and take corrective action. You will be responsible for developing, initiating, and coordinating procedures for verification and correction of audit imaging. Other responsibilities:
- Receive and process undeliverable assessments
- Answer general taxpayer inquiries of a non-technical nature and refer questions of a more complex and technical nature to the proper individual
- Function as regional office receptionist
- Maintain filing system by placing and retrieving documents and establishing newly created files

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,890.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information, or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
