Base Compensation Range: $20 - $23/hr

Job Summary

Responsible for GMP production of Medical Diagnostic instrumentation associated with FDA approved components for implementation and integration into complex diagnostic assay systems.

Duties/Responsibilities



  • Assembles and builds complex GMP medical devices and provide in process testing capacity.
  • Trains to technical instructions and procedures to procure, assemble, and test molecular biology components and instrumentation.
  • Ensures timely material availability, shop floor documentation completion and manufacturing work cell development.
  • Closely interacts with Engineering, Materials, and QA/QC departments in product change controls, deviations and technical troubleshooting issues.
  • Complies and insures compliance with all documentation and production record keeping.
  • Directly supports engineering on investigations for field complaints and NCMRs.
  • Supports the maintenance of QSR and GMP production in an FDA regulated environment. Complies to GMP production.
  • Provides feedback on manufacturing processes/procedures to engineering, lead, and management


Experience/Education



  • 2+ years' experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with providing feedback on SOPs for new processes, materials, and products.
  • Experience with an ERP environment for manufacturing and shop floor controls (BOMs, routings).


Knowledge and Skillsets Required



  • Skills

    • Ability to accurately follow written procedures and annotated drawings.
    • High mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and air tools.
    • Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Completes a variety of complex or difficult tasks; uses standard protocols to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
    • Applies advanced technical/ administrative knowledge and skills.
    • Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.

    • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

    • Normally receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
    • Supervision is limited, no instructions are needed on routine work, and general instructions are given on new lines of work or special assignments.

Physical Demands



  • Regularly walks, stands, and sits.
  • Frequently uses hands to feel objects or control tools for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Frequently works on a computer for approximately 1 hour a day.
  • Frequently lifts, pushes/pull, and carries up to 35 pounds for up to 4 hours per day.


Environmental Conditions



  • Potential exposure to chemical or bio-hazardous materials.
  • Must follow lab safety practices when working in freezer or with chemicals and bio-hazardous materials including use of personal protective equipment such as: gloves, lab coats, and safety glasses.
  • Uses ESD precautions when working with electronic devices.
  • The position will work in a team environment, interacting with all related cross functional groups throughout the organization, including executive management, manufacturing operations, research and development, business development and marketing, finance, legal, and external consultants where applicable.
