HR Manager

SUMMARY:

Join Daily's Premium Meats as an HR Manager on our Corporate team, where you'll be instrumental in shaping our workplace culture. This position is responsible for overseeing key HR functions such as performance management, compensation management, and learning and development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for cultivating a high-performance culture within the organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership and managers across the company to drive employee engagement, development, and retention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Strategic HR Partner Activities: Serve as liaison between the plant and Corporate Leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to drive organizational success.
  • Influential Relationship Building: Develop and foster influential relationships with plant leadership and stakeholders. Position HR as a trusted partner, supporting informed decision-making and prioritizing the well-being of our employees.


  • Performance Management: Lead the performance management process across the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and employee development objectives. Partner with department heads and managers to implement effective performance evaluations and feedback processes. Provide guidance and coaching to managers to help them set clear expectations and develop their teams effectively. Ensure that performance metrics and goals are aligned with organizational objectives and measurable outcomes. Facilitate regular performance calibration sessions to ensure fairness, consistency, and equity across teams.


  • Compensation Management: Lead the company's compensation strategy, ensuring competitiveness within the industry while maintaining internal equity. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and adjust compensation structures in alignment with market trends, business goals, and budget considerations. Administer annual salary review processes, including the analysis of compensation data to ensure fair pay practices. Conduct regular market compensation benchmarking and recommend adjustments based on findings. Oversee incentive and bonus programs to ensure alignment with performance goals and company success. Provide strategic guidance on compensation-related matters to leadership and management teams.


  • Learning and Development: Drive the overall strategy for our comprehensive learning and development efforts to support employee growth and organizational development. Identify organizational training needs and proactively create initiatives that align with business objectives and employee career development. Manage the performance of the L&D function, evaluating program effectiveness and adjusting as needed. Work closely with HR and business leaders to create individualized development plans for employees at all levels and at each plant location. Champion a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization.


  • Communication: Support overall communication strategies for Daily's - focused on the corporate level. Leading strategy for plant communication alongside the Communications Leader to implement ideas and enhancements that positively impact the company's culture.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may have direct reports, however this could change over time as the business needs shift. Ideal candidate would have supervisory experience and could continue creating a work culture that supports the teams growth and development.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or higher, and 7 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.

DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES: Frequent contact with operations management and plant leadership, with direct reporting line to VP of HR. Approval of Senior HR Manager required on some issues and some duties and responsibilities will require authorization.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate basic office equipment, Word, and Excel. Knowledge and experience with HR Information Systems is preferred and ability to learn new processes and systems quickly with appropriate training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment includes a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in all areas of the plant. May be required to travel to other plants, remote facilities and/or corporate offices for training, projects, or meetings.
