Position Summary Working in conjunction with the Chair of the Cardiac Service Line, the manager will be responsible for the onsite practice management and daily oversight of all hospital based cardiac programs being led by a VMG Cardiologist. He/she will have a visible presence and involvement with the entire cardiac hospital-based team along with multiple hospital departments including the Medical Staff Office, leadership in both the Heart and Vascular Institute and Patient Care Services and the Patient Experience Office, along with leaders in other Valley Hospital departments. The Manager of the Cardiac Hospitalist Program will work closely with both VMG and Hospital leadership to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the program. The Manager is responsible for contributing to improved workflow processes, communications, and standards, as well as onsite initiatives for operational, financial, and clinical performance Education Bachelor's degree required. Experience Minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience in managing a hospital-based program, along with relevant experience in healthcare customer service, Medical Staff Office, or Medical Group Administration. Experience working in a hospital setting required. Skills Strong communication, interaction, customer service, and organization skills required. Proven critical thinking, problem-resolution, decision-making skills, computer literacy in a windows-based environment, working knowledge of standard office equipment. Staff scheduling experience a plus. Knowledge of word-processing and database management applications.
