Job Title: Visual Effects Director Location: Orlando / Victoria Reports To: Sr. Director of Experience Design

*Please note: this role requires on-site work at either the Orlando, FL studio or the Victoria, BC studio. Remote work is not available.

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects (VFX) Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the motion and mathematics that drive physical phenomena, allowing them to create sophisticated and innovative FX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced visual effects with a deep understanding of physical phenomena.

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of compositing and multiple 3D FX software packages.

  • Collaborate with senior team members across multiple studios to ensure visual consistency across products.

  • Work closely with engineers to establish and manage VFX performance budgets, ensuring compliance throughout the project.

  • Take accountability for the overall FX performance across titles.

  • Coordinate the VFX pipeline at an expert level, identifying and resolving any issues.

  • Foster open communication and collaboration across departments and studios to maintain and improve VFX workflows and pipelines, while also defining innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in creating high-quality visual effects in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects.

  • Excellent communication skills to maintain effective collaboration across diverse teams.
