To strengthen our Ethics and Business Integrity team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Ethics and Business Intelligence Lead, Operational Optimization, based in our United States headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 40% on site presence and 5-10% domestic travel.
About the role
You will be responsible for conducting globally centralized reviews, including but not limited to, ANFs, Market Research, PCOR projects, Funding, External Research, Publications requests. The scope will include centralized reviews considering all aspects of healthcare compliance and ethical business practices with a focus on all global and country-specific healthcare compliance regulations as well as UCB internal standard documents and E&BI guiding principles.
Who you'll work with
Internally, you will work with ethics and business partners, as well as ethics and business intelligence stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll do
Manage the E&BI Hub for the of different type of centrally managed reviews.
Act as the global E&BI SPOC for answering short and easy manageable questions related to E&BI procedures/processes and/or redirect the questions to the proper stakeholder within or outside E&BI.
Perform assigned centralized E&BI reviews related to Healthcare Compliance, ensuring alignment with internal policies and procedures and external standards.
Work with E&BI teams and regions to implement centralized operations, address country-specific requirements, and manage deviations or exceptions collaboratively.
While conducting reviews in compliance with standards, escalate issues or non-compliance, and train stakeholders on internal standards and updates.
Share identified gaps or improvement opportunities, define review indicators to evaluate effectiveness, and develop reports to enhance frameworks and systems.
Manage inquiries from the "ask a question" tool by assessing and answering, or redirecting them to the appropriate contact.
Create and maintain standardized answers for common inquiries in collaboration with with other E&BI teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience in highly rule framed industries, preferably in the biosciences or pharmaceutical industry.
As a plus, knowledge of international healthcare compliance codes and ethics and compliance principles, including publications, market research, funding, and external research.
Proven ability to conduct calibrated risk assessments at the activity level and solid business acumen in UCB therapeutic areas and products.
Innovative problem-solving skills, curiosity to understand customer needs, and the ability to prioritize tasks and identify connections.
Strong interpersonal skills for building cross-functional relationships, computer proficiency, and daily use of IT systems.
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $104,000-$137,600 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
