Senior Inventory Control Associate

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will work in a fast paced, agile, and constantly growing environment. Your daily work will consist of participating in cycle counts and investigating inventory discrepancies. This position is important to the proper functioning of the warehouse and materials management organization.

Inventory Control is a team within the materials management organization that supports all lines of business within IDEXX. We do this by providing high quality work that enables our teams as well as our end customers to improve the health and wellbeing of pets, people and livestock.

In This Role

  • Your primary function for this position will be to support the inventory cycle counting program.

  • You will obtain accurate inventory cycle counts in accordance with the established cycle counting program.

  • You will ensure inventories are accurate by lot and location through accurate data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting.

  • You will process and dispose of dispositioned scrap using the appropriate methods for the material classification including that of expired, damaged, and obsolete materials.

  • You will Investigate and resolve inventory inaccuracies and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.

  • You will act as the team's representative and primary point of contact with leadership for a designated inventory control program and/or report that is supported by the Inventory Control team.

  • You will satisfy inventory requests for both internal and external customers by designated lot number, utilizing work orders, material requisitions and packing/shipping documentation.

  • You will support inventory processes, solutions, and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; includes cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting

  • You will support multiple sites inventory and be flexible in visiting sites in the greater Portland area.

  • You will maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and environment

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints

  • Ability to effectively function in a team environment

  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Good computer skills and knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

  • Good communication and prioritization skills.

  • Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and be a team player.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations

  • Basic Knowledge of warehouse practices.

  • Able to properly lift up to 50 pounds; ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance

  • Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required

Physical Demands

  • Ability to properly lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

  • Frequent lifting of large, unwieldy boxes or containers.

  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, sitting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk and hear.

  • Must be able to work at heights while using powered industrial trucks and proper safety PPE.

  • Must be able to utilize, and be certified, to use motorized lift equipment.

  • Moderate to high computer use.

Work Environment

  • Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing and equipment may be required.

Shift - This is a 1st shift role. Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm
