Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is proud to offer both a 1-year and 3-year Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program. This opportunity is designed to provide aspiring individuals with hands-on experience, invaluable skills, and a pathway to a successful career in the manufacturing industry.

Each year of the program, you will attend classes at Harper College combined with onsite on-the-job training. Richard Wolf pays your way, covering your tuition, fees, and books. In addition, we pay for your school and work time.

When you graduate, you will have either a certificate (1-year) or associate degree (3-year), advanced technical skills, and an excellent future in the medical industry...with no college debt. Plus, you will be offered a full time position upon completion of the program.

Hourly Pay Rate for 1st year apprentices is: $15.00/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Acceptance into Harper College AAS Manufacturing Technology or Manufacturing Certificate program
  • Openness to learning, training and development at RWMIC and in the classroom
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Beginner computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel)
  • Exceptional team player who is proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and attention to detail
  • The following physical demands are required:
    • Lift/Carry 25+ pounds
    • Bend/Stoop/Kneel 4 hours per day
    • Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
    • Push/pull 50+ pounds
  • The following work environment conditions may exists:
    • Infectious Disease Exposure
    • Chemicals Exposure
    • UV Light Exposure
  • RWMIC offers annual Immunizations for Hep B and Flu Shots to all RWMIC employees. RWMIC employees have the responsibility to themselves and the company to consider receiving these immunizations.
