The Opportunity: We are seeking a strategic, business-minded, experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide financial leadership and oversight across our three divisions: Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key partner in driving our financial strategy, managing risk, and ensuring robust financial control. - Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies, drive forecasting and budgeting, and provide insightful financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Comprehensive Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, capital management, and cash flow management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance with government contracting (DCAA) and commercial regulations, and manage insurance policies.
- ERP Implementation & System Optimization: Lead the implementation of a new Deltek Costpoint system in collaboration with IT.
- Government & Commercial Accounting Expertise: Manage both government and commercial accounting, including DCAA audits.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, banks, and external auditors.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, and provide financial education to managers.
- Tax Planning & Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Officer, or in a similar senior financial leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
- CPA certification required.
- Strong understanding and experience with government accounting, including DCAA regulations.
- Expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and strategic problem-solving.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
