Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is actively seeking a Journeyman IT Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects of moderate complexity using both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile methodologies. This role involves coordinating resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful execution of technology initiatives that align with organizational goals. The successful candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams in both structured and adaptive environments, be comfortable facilitating Agile ceremonies, and be equally capable of producing formal project plans and documentation when required. This position has several ONSITE locations for consideration:

Lakewood, CO; Loveland, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Folsom, CA; or Billings, MT.



Responsibilities

    Lead IT projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches based on project needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, scope statements, risk registers, status reports, and change logs.
  • Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Assist in resource planning, workload balancing, and forecasting.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards, compliance requirements, and contract obligations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to evolve PMO best practices and tools.


Qualifications

  • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience managing IT projects, including both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile environments.
  • Working knowledge of project management frameworks such as PMBOK, Scrum, and SAFe.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting requirements.

Salary: $85,000.00 - $88,000.00
