Job Description

Location Profile:

Located in Gardena, California, Permaswage designs and manufactures separable and permanent fluid fittings and installation tooling for aerospace and defense applications.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, quick learner with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the passion and energy to leave their mark by the end of their Co-Op term. Your duties will include collection and analysis of market data, development of data models and preparation of presentations. If this is you, read on and join our team as a Co-Op!

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analyze internal and external sales data
  • Prepare Excel models to automate the analysis and presentation of the resultant information
  • Prepare weekly presentation of Sales data
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations internally for review and approval
  • Compose and propose content for the company's website

Co-Op Qualifications:

  • Must be able to accept an onsite 6-month assignment
  • Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate from an accredited residential college or university
  • Must be at least sophomore level working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, mass communications or other related fields of study
  • Zero to 2 years of related experienceand / or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills:

  • Experience or education related to traditional marketing / market research / data analysis is strongly desired (we are not a web or social media-based business)
  • Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills - minor / major in data analytics is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a technical, aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent work ethic is required. The co-op will stay on task and ask for guidance if roadblocks are encountered
  • Proactive; strives to go above and beyond what is required for the role. Ability to prioritize well and tackle challenges enthusiastically and with professionalism
  • Focused attention to detail. Work is high quality with minimal errors
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to compose high quality copy and presentations (grammar and punctuation) with a minimum of editing by others.
  • Ability to work independently and apply good judgment
  • Advanced knowledge ofMS office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to create and share engaging content, including written copy, images, and videos that promote the company's brand is a plus
  • Interest intechnology and manufacturing is a plus and strongly preferred
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Prior internship(s), group or personal project exposure and / or work experience is strongly desired

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $22 to $26 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
