Job Description:

Build your resume and enhance your marketability with real-work, hands-on experience! Saab's Corporate Affairs team is seeking a government affairs student looking to grow their understanding of corporate affairs in a global company.

As a Corporate Affairs intern for Saab, you will:

  • Gain experience supporting several functions including government affairs, communication, branding, social media, and business development
  • Generate and review content
  • Create briefings for leadership on current events and their impact on the company
  • Track and evaluate legislation
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Receive clear expectations, constructive feedback, and structured time commitment.
  • Work out of the Washington, DC office in the Navy Yard neighborhood 3 days/week

Compensation Range: $18.00-$20.00

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Government Affairs or a related discipline.

  • Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP style a plus.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Personable- comfortable meeting and interacting with new people.

  • Proactive and organized with high attention to detail.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
