Description

The position is responsible for laboratory technician bench duties and project duties within the laboratory. Lab Techs perform routine and complex tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunohematology. The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; leading and directing day-to-day work; supplying inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.

Required Qualifications:



  • Associate's Degree or Coursework/Training: military MLT training program or equivalent.
  • Within 90 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in medical laboratory in a medium to high complexity laboratory.
