Expected outcomes for our Senior Payment Solutions Specialist are:



  • Manage Delinquent Accounts: Under the direction of the Payment Solutions Manager, you'll handle complex activities related to delinquent accounts, ensuring low delinquency rates and current member payments.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with third-party agencies and vendors, including auction houses and attorneys, to recover funds effectively and resourcefully.
  • Analyze and Resolve: Uncover the causes of delinquency and achieve appropriate legal remedies for motor vehicles, money actions, mortgage loans, business loans, bankruptcy, and business account issues.
  • Educate and Support: Financially educate members and refer them to optional programs and services as needed. Provide expert guidance and support to the payment solutions team through advanced leadership and collection skills.
  • Ensure Compliance: Complete delinquency and compliance processes accurately and in a timely manner. Handle escalated member issues promptly and accurately.
  • Report: Complete reporting and additional duties accurately and in a timely manner.



Capability Requirements



  • Associate's degree or applicable experience.
  • Three years in a high-volume collections and/or loan servicing environment.
  • High-level knowledge of subject matter and best practices.
  • Have or be able to attain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)number.
  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for projecting a positive image as a representative for the Credit Union.
  • Requires knowledge of the legal processes involved in the collection of delinquent accounts, collection laws and practices relating to Consumer Loans.
  • Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Mathematical skills required.
  • Requires sound judgment to solve day-to-day problems within established guidelines.
  • Work requires knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, and more advanced knowledge of Excel and data bases and data base querying.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have a commitment to team collaboration and mentality.
