Position Title: Loan Resolutions Repossession/ Remarking Specialist

Reporting Manager: Loss Mitigation Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Approving units for sale, setting floor pricing, reviewing auction condition reports for potential claim filings

2. Work with the agents to coordinate pick up and transport of vehicles to auction.

3. Evaluation for necessary reconditioning for repossessed units prior to sale.

4. Assist/Back-up for Repossession Specialist with Issuing Orders and Vehicle Redemptions.

5. Request titles for all repossessed units and filed skip claims.

6. Evaluate units for legal follow up

7. Contact members to directly determine the reasons for delinquency and assist them in developing repayment plans to bring the account current and avoid repossession

8. Monitor repossessed inventory and status

9. Assign accounts out for repossession in a timely manner

10. Monitor account with Collateral Protection Insurance and work with members to resolve.

11. Storage notice follow up and completion

12. Evaluate account for a referral to the Member Assistance Program for possible rework and extension when applicable.

13. Review Repossession and Remarketing invoices for accuracy and payment

14. Produces daily, weekly, and monthly reporting required for Loan Resolutions, Senior Leadership, and Finance Department.

15. Coordinate with multiple vendor partners for support of Repossession and Remarketing

16. Process charge-off and partial write-downs on repossessed inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred or an equivalent mix of education and collections experience.

Experience: Two to three years of previous collections/loan resolutions experience, customer service, or sales experience is highly preferred.Strong understanding of foreclosure and/or real estate process

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Desire to help people. Possess strong knowledge of all requirements for repossessions, loan extensions, and reworks.

* Strong negotiation skills

* Strong listening skills

* Professional telephone manner

* Able to diffuse high-tension situations confidently, effectively, and professional* Ability to navigate quickly within various computer programs.

* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think quickly under pressure

While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to perform essential position functions.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may require travel up to 20% of the time based on business needs.

Attendance Requirements: Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. This means that the employee is required to report to work on time and must remain available to clients during scheduled hours. This position requires face-to-face interaction in person or by telephone and e-mail with members, clients, and vendors.
