POSITION SUMMARY

The Mountain Bike Trail Crew Supervisor works alongside the Bike Park Manager on the creation and execution of the mountain bike park trail maintenance plan. This team member will lead, train, and work alongside, the Mountain Bike Trail Crew staff to execute the plan to ensure all weekly trail maintenance is completed in a timely manner. This is a seasonal full-time position, compensated at $21.00-$23.00/hour based upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Meet with the Bike Park Manager to create the trail work plan for the following week.
  • Listen to feedback from other departments involved in mountain biking to ensure the bike is meeting the needs of our guests and employees.
  • Lead daily morning meetings that communicate the maintenance plan for the day and the week.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure that staff members are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist in the management of labor and operating expenses to meet annual budget targets.
  • Assist in employee payroll responsibilities in Workday.
  • Maintain existing mountain bike trails on the mountain while following guidelines and best practices to ensure the safety of all riders
  • This job will involve the use of shovels, rakes, and other common power and non-power tools related to trail work.
  • Mowing, brush clearing, weed trimming, bridge repair.
  • Operate company vehicles/ATVs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required

Experience:
  • Previous leadership experience, required
  • Previous bike trail construction and maintenance experience, required
  • Experience operating heavy machinery, preferred
  • Experience riding mountain bikes required, both downhill and cross country, preferred


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
