City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is hiring an RN (Registered Nurse) to join our PreOp & Phase II Recovery Team in the Same Day Surgery Department. Up to $7,500 Sign On Bonus to the qualified applicant successfully hired! The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Position Overview We see approximately 30 - 40 patients per day. Approximately 16 hours per week. 8-hour shifts. The shift may begin as early as 6:00 a.m. There are 5 - 6 days of On Call shifts per month. The call starts at the end of your shift and ends at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. No weekends! Preop and Phase II Recovery role Education RN-Associate's Degree RN-Bachelor's Degree RN-Diploma RN-Master's Degree License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Experience A minimum of one year of RN (Registered Nurse) experience preferred. We are unable to consider new grad RNs currently. Talroo-Nursing, Monster, PACU, ICU, Med Surg, Medical Surgical, Surgery, Outpatient, Same Day Surgery, ICU, Intensive Care, Critical Care. IMCU, Progressive Care, PCU, Stepdown, Cardiac, CCU, Part Time . We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$28.16 - $46.94. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
