GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and escorting patients to the exam room.
• Obtaining medical histories.
• The measurement and recording of vital signs.
• Preparing patients for an examination/procedure.
• Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.

SHIFT DETAILS: The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm

LOCATION: 15420 19 Mile Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038

STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours per week

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.

Knowledge of Vaccines for Children program, able to perform basic diagnostic/POC testing (i.e. EKG, PFT, urinalysis, injections, lab draws). Has the ability to interact and work well with physicians, managers and coworkers. Possess good communication skills both oral and written, has ability to work with little supervision. Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills."
