Position: Speech Pathologist Department: Otolaryngology Schedule: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: Full-time position for a pediatric speech language pathologist includes specialized practice in feeding and swallowing evaluations and therapy and pediatric modified barium swallow studies, with additional practice in speech and language evaluations and therapy. Services are provided in both outpatient and inpatient capacities. This role is in person. Candidate must be available to work weekends. The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist conducts comprehensive assessments of inpatients and outpatients with disorders of pediatric feeding disorder, communication, voice and cognition. Plans and implements individual/group speech-language pathology treatments to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education. Is encouraged to assist in interdisciplinary research. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
