Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Houston, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The controls software engineer will be responsible for the development of control system software and its associated documentation and the Human Machine Interface to meet the requirements of the client.
• The work is varied from small upgrades to complete control system replacements.
• Client primarily uses Wonderware Intouch for its HMI systems
• The controls software engineer will work under the software lead and report to the controls engineering manager.
• They will form part of a controls system design team responsible for providing upgrade solutions from obsolescence to complete control system replacements.
• Development of Project software and HMI systems to meet requirements of dynamic customer projects.
• Meeting challenging timescales and budgets.
• Preparation and release of documentation for the HMI including HMI specification document and HMI Screens document.
• Preparation and release of software documentation including Logic Flow Diagrams and alarm and trip matrix.
• Testing of project software and HMI.
• Defining details of the project software and HMI with both the project team and the end user.

Hours: 40 hrs/week / 1^ST shift

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation or Controls Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on an engineering environment.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Wonderware Intouch.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Rockwell Control Logix and Design Studio.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with industrial control systems and Gas Turbines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with HMI Design
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Software design

Preferred Skills:

• Good team working skills and creative problem-solving skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Adaptable to change.
• Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiar with turbo compressor and their auxiliary systems.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written, both 1-1 and group situations.
