POSITION: SENIOR TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager within the banking industry to lead digital transformation initiatives within Cambridge Savings Bank. The Senior Program Manager approaches work with an agile mindset, values team collaboration, has experience leading project managers and contributes to lean process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with experience on infrastructure projects and has experience with a business online banking implementation. This individual will be well versed in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies and data analytics, be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously, and understand how to include a robust Change Management program in project plans in addition to leading other Project Managers. The Senior Technical Program Manager is comfortable with ambiguity and change and can actively reduce complexity across the transformation process. Strong background in banking and fluent understanding of API development.
As a member of the Transformation Team, the Senior Technical Program Manager works closely with the Head of Transformation, project managers, executive sponsor(s), IT, business line leaders, cross-functional teams, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver agreed upon outcomes.

Key Result Areas:

  • Manage strategic digital transformations and program plans that span across various lines of business and successfully deliver full implementation from initiation to deployment using the recommended Transformation Delivery Method.
  • Work closely with project sponsors, cross functional teams, assign project managers to develop the scope deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for initiatives.
  • Work with other projects and program managers to identify dependencies across multiple projects within the organization.
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, and document program issues, risks, and dependencies and document mitigation strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Vendor Partners to ensure alignment and collaborations throughout all project phases. Manage program/project scope, budgets, risk and mitigation strategies, change management, and resources for Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
  • Monitor progress and run multiple projects simultaneously, track key performance indicators, and provide data-driven status reports, required documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including CSB's Executive Leadership team and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead other project managers.
  • Create data-based dashboards that capture company-wide program/project progress and visualize the company's book of work with results for use by executive management and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.
  • A leader with the ability to empower teams, foster employee engagement throughout the life cycle of a transformation and produce a valued employee experience.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and business agility within the bank, providing leadership and mentorship to colleagues and team members, aiding in professional growth and development.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or related discipline required with Advance Degree or Certifications preferred.
  • Experience leading project managers.
  • Experience leading an Online Banking Project, Infrastructure initiatives, Q2 knowledge preferred.
  • 10+ years of Portfolio Management and Digital Transformation experience, within the financial services/banking /IT industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple technical complex transformation programs with multiple integrations from initiation to completion as the ways of work evolve across the organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Familiarity with Change Management, Data Analytics and Visualization, and Lean Six Sigma principles and techniques.
  • MP, PRINCE2, or SAFe Agile certification, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, JIRA, and knowledge of project portfolio management. Working knowledge of Tableau.
