Description

What you will do:

Review and approve repair or modification design, engineering analysis and substantiation, and develop appropriate technical documents, such as repair approvals, drawings, reports and specifications. Mentor fellow engineers. Support growth through business development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead and hold responsibility for overall productivity of group, resource allocation, prioritizing and distributing daily project workload.

What you need:



  • BS in Engineering, or related field and 8 years of relevant Engineering experience within the aviation industry; or
    AS in Engineering, or related field and 10 years of relevant Engineering experience within the aviation industry
  • FAA Structural DER designation
  • Experience working with and interfacing with the FAA on Engineering related projects
  • Program/Project management experience with demonstrated strategic planning ability
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar desktop drafting application
  • Working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 43, 91, 121, 135, 145 and equivalent EASA airworthiness regulations.
  • Familiarity with implications and required compliance criteria of Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and other FAA and OEM documentation
  • Excellent communication skills


Preferred Job Skills:



  • MBA or Advanced Degree in area of specialization
  • Management Training or Experience


Physical Skills:



  • Work in adverse weather
  • Stand, sit or work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Climbing stairs and ladders as needed
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl as required
  • Wear PPE and hearing protection as required
  • Occasional lifting of various weights up to 50 lbs.
