Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage execution of internal and external testing (including requirements, cost, schedule, and coordination with supply chain, external lab, and internal/external customers)
- Apply knowledge of structures, mechanics, systems, subsystems, components, and materials to development and definition of test plans; test procedures; test design and management; data analysis; and reporting of test results
- Apply knowledge of principles and theories relevant to measurement of stress, strain, loads, acceleration, deflection, temperature, pressure, and other environmental conditions and functional testing
- Analyse data to determine whether instrumentation is functioning correctly upon installation
- Work effectively and supportively in a team environment while being able to work independently with minimal oversight
- Work with potentially hazardous equipment or on potentially hazardous test activities, following all safety equipment and processes mandated for those activities to complete them safely
- Work directly with internal customers in a supportive and positive manner
- Work in dynamic and deadline driven environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an ABET engineering program with 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing test projects throughout lifecycle (test plan through test report)
- Attention to detail while able to meet critical project timelines
- Experience working with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems
- Experience working with computer systems
- Experience working with instrumentation and test equipment
- Communicate with customers and team members effectively to complete assigned tasks to agreed schedule
- Analyze test data to ensure tests are being performed correctly and that all instrumentation is working correctly
- Ability to work multiple test projects each with separate tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a test lab and/or flight test environment is a benefit
- Design and/or stress experience is beneficial but not essential
