Job Summary

The Dorman Training Center's mission is to equip professional automotive technicians with the skills needed to make complex repairs. In partnership with the Director of Training Curriculum, the Training Program Manager leads all aspects of program administration including building a compelling program growth strategy, setting and tracking program KPIs, guiding course administration (scheduling, staffing), and driving customer engagement (business development, billing). The Dorman Training Program Manager will work with the training staff (including one direct report), customer marketing, marketing communications, and 3rd party partners to build the aftermarket's preeminent technician training program.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation to be onsite in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) a minimum of twice a week.

Primary Duties

  • Lead day-to-day operation of the Dorman Training Center, including program course administration and customer engagement.
  • Partner with the Director of Training Curriculum on program growth strategy. Assist in setting direction of the class curriculum, through marketing research and industry insights. Work to differentiate and grow the Dorman offering, including staffing, advertising plan, content roadmap, and new partnerships.
  • Partner with the Training Coordinator for flawless execution of course administration, including scheduling, staffing, travel arrangements, and collateral development.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications on website maintenance and program marketing plans.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing on business development activity.
  • Regularly analyze training needs, identify and develop new approaches, systems and curriculums to eliminate gaps and improve the efficiency and success of learning.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of leading complex projects and programs, including success creating a strategic plan and executing with excellence.
  • Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with management and across functional teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong automotive background and familiarity with the needs of automotive technicians.


Education / Experience

  • 5+ years of professional management experience in the automotive industry
