Senior Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Kansas City and take responsibility for both domestic and export logistics of grains and oilseeds from North America. Role & Responsibilities: As Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring the efficient execution of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining compliance with contract terms and optimizing logistics operations. This includes working closely with the commercial and documentation teams to ensure seamless planning and execution, as well as engaging with external logistics partners to build strong, long-term relationships. We offer a full-time position located in Kansas City and an opportunity to develop your expertise in logistics within a dynamic and growth-oriented organization. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing inbound and outbound logistics, including planning of schedule in accordance with export logistics, inventory management and quality and commodity grade management.
  • Coordinating export trade execution, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with contract terms.
  • Booking and optimizing freight capacity, working with carriers and logistics providers to ensure cost-efficient and reliable transportation.
  • Auditing and disputing freight invoices, as well as handling demurrage and detention claims when necessary.
  • Acting as a key partner to both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth logistics operations and continuous improvements.

Expected Skills & Experience: In this role, your ability to maintain a structured and detail-oriented approach, ensure accurate execution of logistics tasks, and proactively solve challenges will be essential. We expect you to handle responsibilities with a high level of organization, accountability, and efficiency. Furthermore, we expect that:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics or execution role in agricultural commodity trade.
  • You have a strong knowledge of agricultural commodity trade, including domestic and export logistics.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a proven ability to adapt and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • You hold a degree in supply chain, logistics, or a relevant field (preferred but not required).

Salary:

$90,000.00- $100,000.00

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
