The role Palladium Infrastructure is growing, and we have two current opportunities for Site Manager / Engineer to the Contract to work on current Projects is the Pacific, these are full time fixed term contracts, deployed positions in either Vanuatu (21 months) or Nauru (6 months), with potential upcoming roles in Kiribati. The Site Manager will report to the Director of Infrastructure and will be responsible for Construction Oversight and Contract Administration with the support and direction of the Australian based Director. Key responsibilities include: Day to day oversight of the Head Contractor Management of any locally engaged WH&S, Quality Staff Chair Site Meetings with the Contractor Administer the Contract (FIDIC, Defence Style Contracts) Conduct Site Inspects to ensure Quality and a high level of Safety on Site Review and monitor Contractor Reports and Progress Attend Project Meetings and Contribute to Monthly Reports on Project Status Respond to RFI's Issue Site Instructions Assess Contractor Claims Manage and engage with technical sub consultants as may be required Work closely with nominated PMCA / Project Director to manage and report on Contractor Performance About you We are looking for a Site Manager / Engineer with experience in FIDIC contracts, construction delivery experience within the Pacific region, or from other remote locations. Our preferred candidate will ideally have worked in the delivery of infrastructure projects in Aviation, Defence and Social Infrastructure. Additional key requirements include: Quality and Safety Management Experience managing a team of locally engaged staff, supporting them with their professional development High level of autonomy.
