Business Systems & Quality Advisor

The primary responsibilities of the Business Systems & Quality Advisor include managing the implementation support for multiple FedEx Global Engineering initiatives, overseeing application and technical support initiatives, providing support plans to business areas to secure funding, and developing metrics to provide visibility into service levels.

Essential Functions

  • Project manages and oversees the conceptualization, planning, design, quality assurance, implementation and support of technology solutions.
  • Provides services to multiple internal customers, such as: business expertise, requirements and application design, quality assurance, implementation support and application support.
  • Sets strategy which leads to the transformation of business processes and operational tools to enable global excellence.
  • Leads multiple projects from concept to implementation.
  • Develops and maintains project plans.
  • Communicates project status and performance to management.
  • Manages the requirements and quality assurance phases of multiple FedEx Global Engineering initiatives.
  • Benchmarks and designs business analysis, quality assurance, and implementation support strategies, ensuring adherence to standards and processes.
  • Communicates with mid-level and upper-level management through project updates, presentations, and specific responses.
  • Designs strategies for migrating from implementation support to application support models.
  • Have a proven track record of managing and overseeing the conceptualization, planning, design, quality assurance, implementation, and support of technology solutions.
  • Ability to set strategies that lead to the transformation of business processes and operational tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree/equivalent in engineering, business, info systems, computer science, or other quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years experience in a minimum of 4 of the following areas: application development/maintenance, application/tech support, business area expertise, business analysis, business data management, systems requirements analysis, requirements documentation, business process modeling, logical data modeling, IT standards/processes, it vendor solution analysis/sourcing, IT metrics design/analysis, software design, software quality assurance, systems demand management, systems integration, systems project management, systems strategic planning, systems training design/delivery, test automation/SLDC expertise, test/use case development, test planning/coordination.

Advanced experience with business analysis techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Human relations skills.

Communication skills.

Job Conditions

Some travel required.

Preferred Qualifications: To be eligible for consideration, you must APPLY and UPLOAD your resume. Preferred skills/qualifications: Proficiency in understanding and utilizing Transit/Commit data structures within the FedEx framework.: Experience with data transformation processes between mainframe type systems and Oracle databases. Experience in writing complex SQL queries, as well as optimizing and troubleshooting them.
