Pay Range USD $30.76 - USD $30.76 /Hr. Overview The Instructional Designer I (Temporary) position provides expertise to faculty, staff and subject matter experts in course design and creation, incorporating best practices in pedagogy, methodology, use of digital content, and course outcomes. This position will be dedicated to microcredential development divided between three projects: Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be an option subject to Clarkson University rules, regulations, and policies. Your primary residence must in one of the following states to work remotely: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Responsibilities * Assist and support faculty, staff, and subject matter experts in designing, revising, implementing, and assessing instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, and appropriate integration of instructional technologies that engage students and promote increased retention and student success Qualifications Education: Minimal Qualifications: A master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related discipline, Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Certification Preferred Qualification: A PhD or other terminal degree in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, or related. Experience: Minimal Experience: At least three years of progressive, related experience in a higher education environment, experience developing microcredentials for both higher education audiences and the general public Preferred Experience: Experience developing microcredentials for the construction and/or manufacturing industry Essential Skills * Thorough knowledge of instructional design theory and practice required Physical Demands The physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
