Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Hemostasis Technical Training Specialist to deliver comprehensive training programs for our Hemostasis product portfolio. This role is pivotal in educating both employees and customers. Prior working experience with the ACL TOP Family of Hemostasis instruments is a requirement. This position will conduct blended training sessions for North American internal employees, equipping them with essential product knowledge to effectively support and sell Werfen systems. It will also provide operator training for the ACL TOP Family of Hemostasis instruments to customers at the Bedford, MA Technology Center.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Identifies & assesses training needs through proactive engagement with internal stakeholders.
  • Leverages previous clinical hemostasis laboratory experience with the ACL TOP Family of instruments to participate in the design, development and implementation of blended learning programs consisting of classroom and virtual instructor-led training, hands-on training and digital learning.
  • Provides technical instruction and practical laboratory training on the set up, validation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned products in accordance with established internal Quality System requirements, course guidelines and objectives.
  • Collaborates closely with peer mentors who provide on-the-job training to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
  • Evaluates training program effectiveness and participates in the modification of training programs.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of assigned products and relevant best practices for technical customer-facing support positions.
  • Participates in the development of training strategy and tactics for their area of responsibility.
  • Maintains knowledge of current learning and development trends and best practices.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transporting large, heavy instruments on mobile carts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Medical Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing or related scientific discipline.
  • 3-5 years related work experience in in a clinical setting or providing technical training , technical support or clinical applications support for clinical customers.
  • Hemostasis laboratory experience or point-of-care In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) experience highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a training role is preferred.
  • Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

  • Strong technical knowledge of assigned products.
  • Aptitude and passion for continuous learning
  • Ability to effectively manage multiples priorities in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Process-oriented with focus on continuous process improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Travel requirements:

  • Bedford, MA - based: up to 25% travel may be required.
  • Field-based: up to 75% travel may be required.
