*Job Description:*
We are seeking a skilled Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing provider documentation to accurately assign diagnoses, procedures, modifiers, dates of service, and places of service in accordance with billing and coding guidelines. *Key Responsibilities:* * Accurately code and validate outpatient service areas, including diagnoses, E&M, and modifiers, with a productivity level of 90-100 charts per day, regardless of the number of transactions filed. * Code inpatient, ASU, and surgical charts, and edit or validate physician procedures based on services performed, meeting productivity levels of 65 charts per day, regardless of the number of transactions filed. * Review assigned work-queues to ensure all CPT and/or HCPCS charge codes are accurate based on physician documentation. * Stay updated with all physician billing and coding guidelines. * Assist physicians in assigning CPT codes that accurately represent the treatment provided. * Maintain full knowledge of coding guidelines, including initial vs. subsequent, new vs. established, sick vs. preventive, split share. * Review telemedicine grids per insurance to ensure proper billing. * Utilize full knowledge of the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) to review and resolve NCCI edits for Part B physician billing claim edits. * Adhere to company policies and procedures. * Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policy. * Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. *Skills* coding, cpt coding, coding database software, icd-10 *Top Skills Details* coding,cpt coding,coding database software,icd-10 *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Possession of an Certified Coding Specialist. (CCS) issued by AAPC. 2.5 Years of experience in Professional Coding. Proficient in Coding and Billing Guidelines. *Knowledge of company operating systems *Full knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding. *Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) *Ability to work under nominal supervision performing duties in an area where procedures are standardized but independent decisions required. *Excellent written and oral communication skills. *Knowledge of billing guidelines. *Ability to work with all employment levels in a collaborative manner including physicians *Ability to multitask *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $81000.00 - $81000.00/yr.
