Senior Test Engineer

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to support the C3C / Kessel Run (KR) Division, which is within the USAF C3BM Directorate.

This role will be supporting the Modeling and Simulation Program.

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA or can also be worked out of Hurlburt Field, FL or Orlando, FL.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Works on varied projects at all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design through to implementation and testing.
• Aids in the development and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and plans for programs assigned to the Models and Simulation Portfolio, ensuring they align with project goals and requirements.
• Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Identifies areas for improvement in testing processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stays up to date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
• Executes tests, analyze results, and identify defects or issues.
• Documents test results, including findings, severity, and impact.
• Communicates test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related field

Years of experience: 10 years of directly related experience with 4 years of experience in a DoD setting

• Familiarity with Air Force and/or DoD Test Processes

• Strong understanding of modeling and simulation methodologies.
• Experience with various simulation tools and platforms.
• Ability to understand/read test automation scripts.
• Knowledge of relevant programming languages (e.g., C++, Python).
• Identify and write test cases and scenarios to thoroughly validate the models and simulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in planning, organizing, and managing projects.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure quality.
