Medical Assistant - Primary Care Washington, DC Pay From: $19 per hour MUST: Experience Medical Assistant MUST have 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant MUST have phlebotomy experience MUST have injections experience MUST work front and back office MUST answer phones Must be computer savvy Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Must have strong customer service experience Experience working with EMR; knowledge of Practice Fusion is preferred Experience room patients Experience take vitals DUTIES: Medical Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Triage patients Prepare medical Records Room Patients Provide clinical help Monitor test results/open orders to assure that all test results are received in a timely manner Interview patient for reason for visit, current medications, allergies and record information in EMR Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information Call patients and clinics to obtain patients documents, labs, records, etc.. Perform data entry and processing Ensure all previously ordered lab work and test results are in the chart prior to the patient visit Schedule appointments Maintain medical records Schedule procedures, tests, and complete orders for patients Scan and file documents in EMR from fax log, outside organizations etc Other duties as assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
