Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit is seeking a permanent full-time Critical Care Technician with Day and Night availability. A professional nursing assistant with rotating weekends and scheduled holidays.
Lunder 6 is a 22-bed adult Neuroscience ICU that cares for critically ill patients who have a range of neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke and spinal cord injury. What are we looking for in a Critical Care Technician/PCA? Assisting the healthcare team, the CCT promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the mentorship of an RN. CCT assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner. Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers. Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills. Ability to lift and transport patients, using the appropriate physical technique, in a safe manner for the patient and self. Required:
