Shipping Coordinator
Verifies and inspects all incoming and outgoing
items, parts, and products in the shipping receiving area. Identifies and part marks all parts. Prepares and readies all shipments.

Job Summary
- Issues detail parts to assembly orders out of D02 warehouse.
- Marks identification on all parts per work order and/or customer specifications.
- Maintains and cycle counts finished goods stockroom.
- Packages parts for stock or shipment.
- Prepares parts for shipment; i.e. assemble wooden and/or cardboard boxes.
- Examines all outgoing shipments to ensure it meets customer specifications; i.e. proper packaging, paperwork, and labeling.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments to verify correct item(s) per purchase order callout noting any damage or shortages.
- Process any and all necessary paperwork to receive all incoming goods.
- Performs receiving inspection and validates product verification.
- Performs final inspection of parts and reviews and closes out work orders.
- Operates forklift or uses hand-truck to move and/or deliver parts and goods to the proper areas as needed within 24-hours of receipt.
- Knowledge of policy and procedures in the event of a Hazardous waste release, fire or explosion.
- Knowledge of the chemical characteristics and location of hazardous waste in the facility.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
Performs other duties
and assignments as directed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and a good memory for detail
- Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, height gage, and scales
- Ability to determine acceptable product versus unacceptable product at inspection stages
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Conscientious, organized and meticulous - records must be accurate and maintained
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions
- Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
Required Experience and Education
- High School Diploma; up to 3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mylars and other inspection media
- Knowledge of ISO is a plus
