Role:

As the Warehouse Zone Leader, this position involves overseeing the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. You will lead a team to ensure efficient warehouse operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and meet delivery schedules. Responsibilities include coordinating with various departments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.



  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the MRP inventory system.
  • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
  • Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
  • Directs production planning and scheduling
  • Works to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Directs shipping and receiving
  • Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
  • Directs materials storage
  • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.


  • Ensure team members are trained, follow safety protocols, and meet quality standards.
  • Plan and manage work schedules, maintain organization, and uphold 5S standards.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance management.



Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

each essential duty satisfactorily.



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures as well as read and interpret technical data
  • Ability to allocate resources to accomplish tasks on time
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, intranet).
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Self-starter, team-oriented, and willing to learn new skills
  • Supervisory experience and effective communication
  • Able to lead, motivate and supervise zone members to achieve targets


  • Ability to safely meet physical demands of position



Education and/or Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent


  • 3+ years warehouse and production experience
  • 1-2 years leadership experience



Language Skills:



  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents
  • Ability to interpret technical charts and drawings
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner to common inquiries
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
