JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated professional with interest in culinary medicine and nutrition to support clinical, educational, and community-based public health initiatives. This role focuses on relationship building and partnerships, coordinating volunteers, and managing data and schedules to ensure the successful implementation and management of programs. The ideal candidate will have some experience in public health education, community engagement, and research, with a focus on nutrition and food-based interventions. Strong organizational skills and a passion for community wellness, food as medicine, and preventive healthcare are essential. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nutrition, or related field -OR-
- Master's Degree in related field
- Experience
- 4 years experience in the appropriate field with a Bachelor's Degree -OR-
- 2 years experience supporting behavioral, educational, social science, or public health programs with a Master's Degree

Training or experience in community engagement, medical education, kitchen management, research project coordination, grant writing, and/or non-profit sector
JOB DUTIES
- Works with Director of the Culinary Medicine (CM) Program and CM lead dietitian at UT Southwestern to organize and coordinate current CM programming for students, residents, fellows, and other learners.
- Works closely with CM Program leaders to plan strategic priorities for growth of the Program.
- Partners with the Office of Community Health and Research Engagement (OCHRE) in the UTSW CTSA program to optimize community partnerships in the food and nutrition realm, ensuring their inclusion in the institution-wide database (Community Engagement Directory).
- Assists the CM Program leaders in coordinating interprofessional student interns and other trainees functioning as rotating learners or research students.
- Assists the CM Program Student Peer Leaders in coordinating and securing volunteers for CM events on campus and in the community.
- Plans and maintains a CM Program process to ensure that details about events, classes, scholarship, speaking engagements, and internal and external consulting are tracked.
- Supports supply acquisition, set-up, and tear-down of CM Program teaching kitchen classes occurring on average 2 times weekly.
- Develops tools and resources to increase awareness and understanding of the CM Programs contributions, including infographics, annual reports, expanded website content, and other tools for internal and external audiences.
- Supports current and future partnerships with community organizations to advance collaborative work.
- Supports communication of CM Program expectations with team members and other stakeholders; delegates tasks to appropriate personnel; identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the program team.
- Performs other duties as assigned and mutually identified to achieve the goals of the CM Program.
