Precision Inspector

Are you a detail-oriented quality professional with a passion for precision inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Precision Inspector to perform complex dimensional and functional inspections on tools, dies, fixtures, materials, and final assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.


What You'll Do:

  • Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
  • Interpret customer and internal engineering drawings and company specifications to verify compliance.
  • Develop and execute complex precision inspection set-ups and protocols.
  • Utilize ANSI 5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to measure and confirm conformance.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to develop inspection techniques for new components.
  • Conduct first piece and first article inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Assist in determining root causes to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Utilize a wide range of test and inspection instruments, including pressure gauges, optical comparators, and vernier calipers.
  • Operate and analyze dimensional data using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Manage customer source inspection visits and present inspection data for authorization to ship.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of other inspectors.


What You Bring:

Experience: Strong background in precision inspection, geometric dimensioning, and quality control. 5 Years minimum experience inspecting machined components in a Manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with CMM operation, AS9102 documentation, and various inspection instruments.

Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret complex engineering documentation and ensure compliance.

Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work with engineers and production teams

Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and process improvements.
