The Dr. Roman Ganta Laboratory in the Bond Life Sciences Center at the University of Missouri Job Description
The Dr. Roman Ganta Laboratory in the Bond Life Sciences Center at the University of Missouri is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of Veterinary Pathobiology. This position is designed to support ongoing research into tick-borne diseases that affect various vertebrate hosts, with a particular focus on advancing modified live vaccine development. Research Focus: The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research involving tick-borne pathogens, specifically Anaplasma and Ehrlichia species, and their impact on human and animal health. The work will include a combination of in vitro and in vivo studies utilizing cell culture, molecular biology techniques, molecular genetics, immunology, and animal models, particularly in cattle and other animal species. The candidate will play an essential role in advancing our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying tick-borne diseases and contributing to the development of novel vaccines.
