An Entry Level Structures Engineer job in Indianapolis, IN is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need zero to two (0-2) years of experience working with Ansys Finite Element software. In this role, you will be part of team that works together, either at our Belcan office or onsite with the customer, to provide support for our engineering projects. Required to work 40 hours per week with core hours of 9am-3pm EST.
Job Duties:
Entry Level Structures Engineer job duties:
*Create and analyze Finite Element Models using ANSYS Workbench and/or APDL
*Post-process results to evaluate capability of the component or system being analyzed
*Evaluate Yield, Ultimate strength capability and determine High and Low Cycle fatigue capability
*Create analysis review presentations using MS PowerPoint and present results at review meetings
*Write technical reports to document methods and results
*Work with a team of analysts to determine best course of action
Required Qualifications:

*Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar
*Ability to work in a group setting and with many types of people
*Ability to communicate in a gracious manner and take direction from customer contacts.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
*Desire to support US DOD related aerospace, marine & aircraft propulsion & power generation projects
*U.S. Citizenship is required

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $65,000 to 68,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
