The Project Manager, Department of Psychology requires an outgoing, caring professional to collect data via virtual interviews with parents as part of a randomized controlled trial of an intervention called Connect to Baby (CTB). The pilot program will be delivered remotely, via Zoom in collaboration with Early Head Start centers throughout Washington DC. Data will be collected from parents virtually, through Zoom interviews. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee the online data collection for another project, MEALS (Meals: Enhancing Access for Low-income Students), sending via Qualtrics surveys to families and following up with families to encourage completion.
  • Manage data management, tracking recruited participants, assigning participants to data collectors, assigning facilitators to treatment families, and tracking facilitator sessions for the CTB study.
  • Oversee data management, tracking data collection for the MEALS study.
  • Coordinate team meetings for data collectors and coordinate with the lead facilitator to track recruitment and facilitator progress on a weekly basis.
  • Work directly with other data collectors andcoordinate with the recruitment and facilitator coordinator for this project.


Work interaction

The Project Manager would be very closely supervised by Rebecca Ryan (PI) and Rachel Barr (PI).

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Due to the DC metropolitan area's growing Spanish speaking population and the fact that data are collected in the home and that the study examines parents' talk with each other and children, Spanish speaking skills preferred
  • Observational coding experience using datayvu software and excel preferred
  • Proficiency with REDCAP tracking system preferred
  • Familiarity with STATA or other statistical software such a R preferred
  • Current driver's license preferred
  • Prior research experience collecting data and/or interacting with people

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$17.92 - $26.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
