In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the development, testing, and debugging of firmware.
What you will do
Work with senior engineers on design, taking that design and developing/implementing firmware code using C and Python
Develop unit tests to ensure code functionality and quality
Participate in integration testing to verify proper interaction between firmware and hardware components
Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues identified during testing phases
Gain exposure to the entire firmware development lifecycle
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
The skills you bring
- Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar major with four to five (4-5) years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum seven (7) years of work experience in a related field
- Strong foundation in programming concepts, particularly C
- Understanding of embedded systems architecture
- A passion for learning and a willingness to take initiative
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in OpenWrt, Wi-Fi Driver, Linux devices, kernel compilation, can debug C and python code, worked with vendor SDK/Toolchain
- Understanding of OpenWRT, experience working with wireless protocol stacks, and familiarity with the Linux connectivity stack
- Experience with Linux machine bring-up, operating system customization and driver porting
- Experience with C and Python, GitLab

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
* $106,800 - $140,175

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
