The Lead, Human Resources Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Chromalloy's Material Services Business Unit as well as to assist with HR related activities within the Corporate Functions. The role serves as an advisor and partner to business leaders and supervisors in the effective management of their workforce through performance management, change management, talent and succession management, learning and development, employee engagement, leadership development and resource planning programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the business to understand and drive business strategy and goals, and address issues. Support local organizational capabilities and development with HR interventions. Recommend new approaches to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
- Act as the key HR contact point across CMS to communicate and manage all people practices and HR activities.
- Provide proactive advice and guidance to management on all operational and strategic aspects relating to human resources, particularly in the areas of talent management, employee engagement and employee relations / communications. Provide managers with strategic and tactical direction regarding organizational structure and approaches to leverage staffing and talent needs.
- Work with Corporate HR to implement effective people practices that drive higher levels of employee performance. Including talent management, development, performance management and engagement programs.
- Identify and cultivate effective and appropriate sources for top quality, diverse talent. Manage recruiting efforts to attract the best candidates, provide guidance on competitive offers, prepare documents, and facilitate the offer through on-boarding and integration cycle of new staff members.
- Engage regularly with business managers and leaders, providing feedback for pro-active intervention and resolution of people-related concerns.
- Work with the Human Resources team on development and roll-out of companywide initiatives, including training and engagement plans. Share best practices and participate as a member of the broader HR business partner team.
- Implementation of the total rewards strategy to include: salary benchmarking, benefits management and annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review.
- Drive standardization in the execution of HR policies and processes, and assure compliance and governance.
- Ensure all appropriate statutory and regulatory compliance requirements related to labor and employment are met. Consult with managers and staff on employee relations issues, conduct investigations and make recommendations in response to management and staff concerns
- Drive employee engagement through close collaboration with staff and leadership, leading focus groups, and conducting action planning as necessary to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Provide day-to-day operational HR support, contributing to all HR activities at CMS
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree or MBA in HRM preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources business partner role of a similar size / scope. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace, MRO or OEM experience a definite plus.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, regulations, and employment laws.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and employee relations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for insights and decision making.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
